I have seen this animation a number of times and it is just as funny seeing now as it was 4 months ago when I first saw it.

this is a little overboard??? too deep for me.....all i know is
that most of the problems in this country (lets get down to
it problems meaning MONEY) have the republicans fingerprints
all over them (the top 1% CONTROL 60% or more of the
MONEY,CASH,MOOLAH,ASSETS..and then they whine,WE are paying most of the taxes in this country which is true, but they seem to forget it is A PERCENTAGE OF YOUR DOLLAR YOU PAY TAXES ON,YOU DON'T FILE TAXES AS A GROUP OR A CLASS)....i never heard a republican
say they are a "liberal", that is the vilest word in their vocabulary
next to "socialism"..serf's in china? it's so funny how the repubs
whine about commie socialist china...i think china is the biggest
most profitable "capitalists" on earth, lets face it capitalism
is about MAKING MONEY and china is making a bundle...but then they start to whine like a schoolboy in the schoolyard (lets face it repubs whine alot about money) "hey you are cheating!!"
"you are not playing by THE (our) rules!!!"you can't be a capitalist
your a commie!! then the dim light brightens a little, hey,commie
capitalist,who cares!! hey i want some of this they are making MONEY!!
they like state ownership of a company, less of a chance of it
going under, no enviromental laws,and after a days work they
could take the worker out back and shoot him...hey, this sounds good!!!! but they WANT china to float the yen, intellectual property rights,(they want to own "IDEAS" and they want people
to PAY them if they think about them)..WHAT A JOKE......
but what they really don't like is they don't have REAL CONTROL
OF THEIR MONEY (at least they thinks its their's for now)...but they are getting PAID so they are happy for now......ps; i bet that
butthead pat robertson owns some abortion clinic's in china,as long as he's getting paid.......all that other nonsense goe's out the window......commies,neo-facists,capitalist's i hope people
in the u.s wake up...."it takes alot of differant ingredients to

i often like your cartoons, but (and you knew that was coming) regarding the sunday piece:
LYNCHING.
really? is that supposed to be funny? perhaps controversial?
what it is is ignorant and offensive and counterproductive to any efforts by your paper to expand its audience. i would expect a cartoonist and former new orleanian to be more sensitive to the power of images, particularly this one.
controversy in the service of a point is welcome but this use seems tone deaf, something that just slipped past any editors who might ask what it is you are trying to say with a lynching image that could not be said otherwise.
i could go on but you get the point. i look forward to your reply.

what ever context, i don't think that using the word lynching (LYNCHING:REFERS DIRECTLY TO THE HANGING OF BLACKS
IN THE OLD SOUTH FOR NO REASON AT ALL BUT FOR BEING BLACK) is funny at all.....and anyone who denies lynching happened
will most likely deny the holocost happened....their is nothing
