Research by a Washington State University linguist found people who tell bad jokes often endure an astonishing outpouring of hostility from the listeners.So, Meredith Daniels finds some Long Islanders who will listen to some corny jokes and gets some interesting reactions.

Unique parks: Aerodrome at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford

Earlier this summer, I got to thinking. Every park, be it state, county or town, has pretty much the same stuff: open fields to run around and an area to do something sporty. The bigger parks have more stuff, and the smaller parks have less stuff.

But there are quite a few parks on Long Island that feature very unique things, things that you can only do at a particular park.

First up in this recurring video series is the aerodrome at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford. Sure, you can fly a model airplane in your backyard if you want, but only Cedar Creek has a dedicated field with runways and field controllers.
