Huntington’s Board of Zoning Appeals meets Thursday evening at 6 to discuss these applications:
Dix Hills: Carol Ann Chang, Apple Expediting, requests front-and side-yard variances to erect an attached two-car garage, convert existing garage to music room, erect front portico and two second-story additions, south side Durham Drive, east of Candlewood Path.
East Northport: Burth and Yvette Werther request steep-slope relief to erect one-story addition with unfinished basement, rear deck and front portico and to legalize a balcony which might need side yard relief,. Allowable fp l,688, proposed 1,940, north side of Soundview Avenue, east of Vernon Valley Road.
East Northport: Melanie Vandermeer requests long-street side-yard variance for one-story addition, southwest corner Valley Road and Terrace Drive.
Huntington: Michael and Teresa Tahany request front- and side-yard variances to erect a second-story master bedroom expansion, southeast corner Harriet Lane and Diana Hill.
Huntington: Developmental Disabilities Institute Inc. requests special-use permit and parking variance for construction of a total of five residential buildings, each with six bedrooms, to accommodate 30 students on the site of DDI Property, north side of Little Plains Road, 225 feet west of Shady Lane.
Northport: Princess Building Corporation requests frontage and lot area variances to subdivide the existing lots to create two lots, northwest side of Wells Road east of Bluebell Lane.
