The Huntington Town Board met Tuesday night and had a 10-page agenda. Here are some of the highlights:
Residents of the Millennium Hills development in Melville came to let the board know they were upset with safety in their community. One or two spoke, but most accepted Supervisor Frank Petrone's offer to meet with town housing officials about the problem later. Here is Petrone, and one of the residents who spoke:
The board also heard from people about a proposal that the town join the village of Northport in a moratorium on building along a portion of Route 25A. The village controls the north side of the street and the town controls the south side. Here is Northport Mayor George Doll, who favors it, and a local businessman who doesn't:
There were several public hearings on changes in parking regulations in town. Here's a resident who spoke in favor of restricting parking on Broadway:
Almost every resolution passes by a vote of 5-0. Here’s one where someone votes "no" when asked to extend a moratorium on golf courses being developed:

Toward the end of the night the board got rolling, passing resolutions quickly. Here is the voting on a few of the 15 separate resolutions authorizing the removal of overgrown weeds, grass, litter and debris from individual properties in town:
