Proclamations for winning science students

ablog2.jpg

Two students from the Town of Huntington received proclamations on June 10 from Legis. Jon Cooper (D-Huntington) in recognition of their selection as winners in Brookhaven National Laboratory's 2008 Elementary School Science Fair for their respective grades.

The two students competed against hundreds of other students from schools across Suffolk County.

Shown here with Legislator Cooper are 3rd Grader Heather Jerome (Norwood Avenue School, Northport) whose project was entitled "One Grain at a Time: Which Sand Makes the Best and Longest Lasting Sand Castle?", and 5th Grader Scott Massa (Burr Intermediate School, Commack) whose project was entitled "Hit, Tilt and Roll: How Does a Vehicle's Center of Gravity Affect Its Chance for a Roll Over?"
