Melville student a finalist with Google doodle

Lekha Girandhi, an eighth-grader at West Hollow Middle School in Melville, was one of two state finalists in Doodle 4 Google, a national competition in which K-12 students redesign Google’s home page logo. She was one of more than 16,000 students to participate nationwide. Lekha appears above with art teacher Elisa Brosnan.
