Long Islanders, New Yorkers and admirers of famed columnist Ed Lowe will gather on Saturday, June 14 to take part in the Huntington Hibernian Pub Crawl to raise funds to defray some of the health insurance and related expenses associated with Ed Lowe's rehabilitation following his recent stroke.

A Pub Crawl is a unique social opportunity for people to gather and meet to share stories and make new friends by touring seven of Huntington Village's best pubs and restaurants. (Ed appears at left in a 2004 photo.)

Registration and lunch will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Abel Conklin's Pub and Steakhouse, 54 New Street in Huntington. I've been searching for Ed Lowe for months now. I've followed him where ever his writing took him. I've read several of his books, and I've even gone back and forth with him on email. Now, I've stumbled on this site. I am so sorry to read what has happened. Does anyone know how he is doing?
