Local Apprentice Chef Greg Elson

Lida.jpg

Thinking of catching a bite at one of Huntington's many restaurants? If yes then you just may be sampling some tasty treats of up and coming local chef apprentice Greg Elson.

Greg has been assisting Head Chefs at many of Huntington's finest eateries, including
Panama Hattie's of Huntington Station and recently at Honu in Huntington Village.

Although only 21 years old, Greg has been "in the kitchen" for several years. At the age of 14 Greg was featured on Channel 12 News as "Chef of the Day" with Ken Grimball. In 2001 Greg appeared in Newsday's "Look Who's Cooking" section. More recently he was preparing menus at the Christian Fellowship House in Syosset, the Gurwin Jewish Geriatric Center in Commack and Chef Assistant at The Woodbury Country Club.

Greg's apprenticeship program places him at various Huntington area restaurant venues...dine locally and you may have the opportunity to sample his good work.
