Northport fundraiser for head-trauma victim

Cusack.jpgFriends and neighbors in Northport are holding a fundraiser Saturday for John Cusack, a father of three boys, who fell off a bicycle on Sept. 4 and suffered a serious head trauma.

Cusack, whose wife, Stephanie, is a teacher in the Northport-East Northport school district, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for emergency surgery quickly after the accident, and he is now in a rehabilitation center.

Anticipating long-term needs, friends have planned a fundraising evening of dinner, drinks and dancing at St. Philip Neri Parish Hall in Northport. Music will be provided by the “20 Years After Band.”

While tickets are sold out, it is still possible to buy raffle tickets. For more information, go to johnnybgfunraiser.googlepages.com/, or contact Debbie Brockwell at 754-0810
