Watchdog columnist gets results at Huntington crossing

Gwen.JPG
Newsday’s Community Watchdog columnist, Gwen Young, and the Watchdog team have begun seeing results, including at the LIRR crossing on Oakwood Road in Huntington. A reader had written in saying the crossing was so uneven that cars go around it to avoid the raised pavement on the tracks. Gwen made some calls, and workers finished overhauling the roadway by the tracks on Tuesday, using 20 tons of new asphalt. For more on that story, click here.
