By Deborah S. Morris
deborah.morris@newsday.com

Ghost and Goblins and some not-so-frightful characters will be on hand at the Fourth Annual Children’s Halloween Costume Parade sponsored by the town of Huntington.

The parade steps off at Gerard Street in Huntington Village on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 4:15 p.m. Children of all ages (and their parents or guardians) are welcome to dress in costume and walk in the parade.

Anyone who wishes to participate should plan to meet in front of the Huntington Post Office on Gerard Street at 4:00 p.m. The parade route moves east down Gerard Street and south down Wall Street, ending where Wall Street hits Main Street (25A.) Reflective Halloween goody bags will be distributed to children.

The Huntington Business Improvement District, in cooperation with village merchants, will be sponsoring a “Safe Trick-or-Treat” program. Merchants throughout the town will pass out candy from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For more information about the parade, call 351-2877.
