Testing Obama: Biden's open door
We noted yesterday that Biden had opened the door to renewing questiions about Obama's experience when he predicted at a fundraiser that someone on the international stage would decide to test Obama in his first few months in office.
Do Americans want to invite a crisis by electing a guy the whole world views as untested, according to his own vp? Republicans don't think so, and McCain today is still working the opening, recalling Biden's comparison of Obama to JFK. At a rally in Harrisburg, Pa.:
"My friends, Sen. Biden referred to how Jack Kennedy was tested in the Cuban Missile Crisis. My friends, I have a little personal experience in that. I was onboard the USS Enterprise. I sat in the cockpit of the flight deck off of Cuba. I had a target. My friends, you know how close we came to a nuclear war. America will not have a president who needs to be tested. I've been tested, my friends."
