NYC Council snuffs bid to let voters decide limits
The effort by dissident Councilmembers to put the term-limit question to a vote as it has been resolved twice before was defeated 28 to 22, with a single abstention, James Sanders (D-Queens).
Now for the main event, the Council bill to extend the limit from two four-year terms to three.
