Show: For tonight's homework, trash Sarah

We're not really into promoting O'Reilly shows, but this one sounds oddly irresistible.

It's promoted in a release from Liberty Counsel, a religious-rights law group affiliated with Jerry Falwell. Maybe you've heard of the controversy, but we hadn't. We regularly marvel at how Fox finds these stories of persecuted Republicans and Christians, which wouldn't surface if it weren't for Fox:

"Janna Barber, an 18-year-old freshman, will be a guest tonight on Fox News Channel's "The O’Reilly Factor" to discuss an outrageous assignment she and other students were given by Andrew Hallam, a professor at Metro State College in Denver, Colorado. Janna is the sister of Matt Barber, who is the Director of Cultural Affairs with Liberty Counsel and Associate Dean with Liberty University School of Law.

"Hallam, who said that "Bush Bashing" and saying foul words are two of his favorite activities, told students to bash Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin by writing an essay that "undermines, criticizes and contradicts" the "fairy tale image" of Palin which "Republicans may wish ... the American people to believe." He then singled out Republican students and allegedly "chuckled" as other students began bullying and harassing them with foul language.

"Janna Barber will appear on "The O'Reilly Factor" tonight at the top of the program..."
