Biden: Gaffe-a-minute Joe?
It hasn't been a good 24 hours for Joe Biden.
Yesterday, he told Katie Couric that one of the Obama attack ads on McCain was "terrible," only to walk it back when the Republicans pounced and claim that he had never seen the ad he had denounced.
In the very same interview, he urged a calm response to the Wall Street crisis:"When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.' "
That would have been more calming if the Democratic candidate for vice-president would have known that Hoover -- not Roosevelt -- was president in 1929, and that there were no TVs for Roosevelt to get on, even if he had been president.
Added to other slips -- higher taxes are patriotic, Hillary would have been a better v-p, and some off-message remarks on coal -- it is, at the very least, providing some balm to Republican consciences that may not be altogether comfortable with Sarah Palin.
"I think the Obama staff must have gone from amusement to embarrassment and now to serious concern whether Biden is up to the job. Had this been Palin, the election would now be over."
Oh -- let's not forget: He also opposed the AIG bailout last week, just like McCain, before changing his mind and deciding to support it, just like McCain.
H/T to Tom.

So, now that you are referencing National Review, will you also reference DailyKos. They are both partisan hack jobs, not really what I come here to read.
AYC:
The above quote from National Review happens to be from Professor Victor Davis Hanson. Look him up:

Hanson is no "partisan hack." If, after viewing his credentials, you still believe that there's no difference between him and the bloggers at DailyKos, there's not much one can say.
Tom - I have read some of VDH's books and used to consider him a man of great insight and integrity. But now, yes, I consider him a partisan hack. He turns himself inside out, and in my opinion, invalidates his words and integrity to support the GOP at this stage. So, I respect your opinion that there is not much one can say....I think one can always say the truth.
