Alaska: Lawsuit to stop investigation

molehill

mountain

Republican lawmakers in Alaska file suit to try to stop the legislative probe of Palin's firing of her public safety director.

It was approved by a bipartisan panel, and Palin said in July she had nothing to hide and would be happy to cooperate. Then, she was picked by McCain, her lawyer challenged legislative jurisdiction, and her aides refused to cooperate.

The lawsuit is the latest. The probe is now, allegedly, "unlawful, biased, partial and partisan."

It seemed like a mole hill when she was cooperating. Now, the resistance makes you wonder: Is it a mountain? Or is it just that Republicans believe, now that she's on the GOP ticket, any molehill will be turned into a mountain if it's not stepped on?

You have given this a lot of coverage, more than the "Trooergate" story in Albany. Could it be that since Errol Cockfield was a former Newsday Albany Bureau Chief and two of your reporters Mansfield and Madore were at the heart of the "LCA VOTE" I story that needs to be covered and exposed by Newsady. Since they work for Newsday and they were trying to coverup the antics of the Albany Times "Useless". One day the truth will come out and a lot of people at Newsday will have a lot of egg on their faces.
