Here's some more entertaining video of Charles Ranger getting slightly bent out of shape at press questions triggered by the NYTimes story about his 4 rent-controlled apartments in Harlem.
Since he's claiming to have such a hard time understanding questions about whether he got a gift from the landlord that should have been reported, maybe this will help: Since Rangel is a rich guy, the apartments may have been subject to luxury decontrol. Maybe the landlord's failure to seek luxury decontrol constitutes a gift.
That's the question. Seems like kind of a reach, but it's not so absurd or silly that Rangel is entitled to berate any reporter who dares to ask it as stupid:

How about Newsday tell it's readers how much it's former Albany Bureau Chief made before he went to work for the Spitzer, and how is working for Gov Paterson. I am sure the readers of newsday would be very interested. Maybe you and your editors at newsday are scared of letting it;s readers know his salary at newsday and how much he how makes working for Spitzer then Paterson.
Maybe his reporting was "TAINTED" and Newsday is covering it up.??
