Makeovers: Airbrushing Michelle
Everybody else is using it, so why not us? The Obama campaign is doing a re-introduction of Michelle, and the centerpiece is this cover story in Us -- who cares when she was first proud of America if she's a Target shoppin' Sex-in-the-City fan?
The Times delves into the politics behind it -- an attempt to counter "caricatures of Mrs. Obama as the Angry Black Woman."
And Obama himself opens a new front by suggesting that Michelle and Cindy McCain should be off limits, appealing to McCain's sense of honor: "I would never consider making Cindy McCain a campaign issue, and if I saw people doing that - I would speak out against it. And the fact that I haven't seen that from John McCain I think is a deep disappointment."

As always, the right side misses the vital point of the complaint. Michelle Obama has not been criticized for her 'comments' very much at all. She HAS been criticized for simply being Michelle Obama - and nothing else. You are a racist and bigoted crowd. You cheer on the lawlessness of King Dumbya, but shudder when a smart person expresses himself. I am afraid you have the priorities of a patriotic American rather mixed up - or maybe you are just racist pigs. Yeah, I think you are just racist pigs. You do make limbaugh proud though.
