The latest Clinton ad in Oregon tries to show some spirit, playing off images of Russert and Stephanopoulos to say she's still alive.
But, in other respects, it's almost surreal. The senator who voted to authorize the war in Iraq now says, "She's been right when it matters. She'll be there when it counts." One of the examples: She promises to end No Child Left Behind. Of course, the ad doesn't mention that she voted for No Child Left Behind in the first place.
If the real Hillary was half as competent, savvy and prescient as the one her campaign has tried to invent, she'd probably be winning:
