NWI Times reports that the results so far from Lake County include 158 of 561 precincts:
"Half of Gary, half of Merrillville and portion of Munster primarily make up these numbers."
Since Obama had a 75-25 margin in the first chunk (28 percent of the precincts) and made up 18,000 votes, if that's only half of Gary ... then he'll pull into a virtual tie if he does equally well in the rest of the city.
