Expectations: NC, Indiana Clinton worries?

Moving from the realm of analysis to the realm of spin, two interesting tidbits:

Drudge Report reports that Clinton is expecting to win Indiana, but anticipating a drubbing in NC, as much as a 15 point defeat: " 'Look, we worked hard and gave it our best shot, but the demographics, well, they are what they are,' a top campaign source explained."

This could mean that Drudge made it up to drive traffic, or that it actually comes from Camp Clinton. If it actually came from Clinton, it probably means they do expect to lose, but anticipate nothing remotely in the neighborhood of 15 points. There's also the remote possibility that Clinton and Drudge together are telling the exact truth...

Elsewhere, the redoubtable John Zogby, whose polls have been a little more favorable to Obama than others, has good news for Obama fans on both fronts. He's running a tracking poll, and he says Obama is moving in the right direction in both states:

Opening up a 51-37 lead in North Carolina. And leading 45-43 in Indiana, after a 47-41 polling day on Monday.

It's possible that for real, too.
