James Carville long ago became part of the permanent government establishment in Washington.
But he comes from Louisiana, and still likes to play the part of the southern rube. It's part of his act. So, using a southernism, he urges Hillary Clinton to campaign until the last dog dies.
Even Carville, however, seems to be losing faith.
“I still hear some dogs barking. I’m for Senator Clinton, but I think the great likelihood is that Obama will be the nominee. As soon as I determine when that is, I’ll send him a check.”
