Paterson: My dad, the teachers' lawyer

Here's audio of Gov. Paterson, at a presser, explaining why the fact that his dad Basil is a big lawyer for the teachers union doesn't have any influence on his approach to education issues.

His budget, of course, provided lots of money for education -- just like the teachers union wanted. And a proposal to tie teacher tenure to student performance, which the teachers union opposed, went nowhere.
