Hillary on Leno: It was the sniper fire
It's a well-worn presidential campaign custom by now -- go on a late-night talk-show and joke about something bad happening in your campaign, to show you can laugh at yourself and try to convert the problem into a punch-line.
So based on that formula, what did Hillary Clinton joke about on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night?
Sniper fire, of course.
According to the AP, Clinton told Leno she almost didn't make it to his studio. "It is so great to be here, I was so worried I wasn't going to make it. I was pinned down by sniper fire," Clinton said -- referring to her earlier claims that she had dodged sniper bullets once while flying into Bosnia as first lady. Clinton later had to admit she "misspoke" when video surfaced of a very un-sniper-fire sort of arrival ceremony on the tarmac that day.
"This has been such a mismatch of words and action," Clinton said. "Obviously I've been so privileged to represent our country in more than 80 other countries, lots of war zones. I wrote about it in my book and obviously had a lapse. But here I am, safe and sound."
Also included was a gentle Leno jab at Clinton's two 3 a.m. and the phone is ringing at the White House ads. "Answering the phone at 3:00, that's gotta be tough," he joked.
"It happens every single night. Someone calls up and they have something to say. You've got to stop calling me," Clinton told Leno. She also talked of her family, saying she's proud of her daughter, Chelsea, and tsk-tsking hubby Bill because "he does get a little carried away sometimes" on the campaign trail. Many Democrats would agree.

Hillary Soprano can joke all she wants about sniper fire. But the fact is she LIED. No amount of joking, or saying I "misspoke" will change the fact that she LIED. If you Lie about little things how can you be trusted about the big things.
She dismissed Sinbad as "just a comedian" when he honestly tried to challenge her Bosnia account. Now she's trying to be one herself ?
This is not funny and the military is -rightfully so- furious with her.
I can't believe she is joking/making light of sniper fire.
AND.... what "other" war zones was she talking about- that apparently had sniper fire that could have confused her enough to misspeak about?

As for the other war zones, I'm sure every time Bill whipped out "little Billy" to yet another woman, the Clinton household felt like a war zone!
Clinton lies, Obama lies, McCain lies, you lie; get over yourself. Always remember "By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? During campaigns words are meaningless because they are trying to get votes, the only way to gauge politicans is through their actions while in political office, their fruits.

That's right Hillary...laugh now, cry later when you lose the nomination to Barack Obama. You didn't dodge sniper fire, you voted for the war in Iraq, voted for NAFTA and you didn't help bring peace to Ireland. You lied about them all. The crying will begin on the night of April 22nd when you realize you MUST now come to terms with your loss.
... and now she lied again! She said she had a "lapse," inferring she slipped up once. Since she had a "lapse" more than once relating the Bosnia fairy tale, she's either in some stage of dementia or she lied!
The only people who will be laughing come November, is the Republicans... Sen. Obama does not stand a chance against McCain, and by November, all of us in the Clinton camp are going tp be so feed up with the Obama supports, that they'll have to go it alone. Bet he doesn't win it.
