From the Department of Striking Contrasts:
Item 1: Hillary released a new ad today. "You need to be ready for anything," it said, including "oil prices skyrocketing and an economy in crisis." And then asked: "Who do you think has what it takes."
Item 2: The Clinton campaign has been delaying payment to vendors for months, and Reuters reports today, "Democrat Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign began April awash in red ink" with $8 million available for primary spending and $10.3 million in debt.
Item 3: Clinton, campaigning in Scranton, warns voters that "they should not 'take a leap of faith or have any guesswork' about their choice for president."
So, there you have it: Picking someone who has run her campaign into the red to rescue an economy in crisis is not a leap of faith.
And isn't it kind of the Clinton campaign in a nutshell? Just like picking someone who voted to authorize the war to end the war isn't a leap of faith, and picking someone who failed to do healthcare to do health care isn't either.
It's like the old 'Sound of Music' lyric: "I have confidence in me..."
