We posted video yesterday of Obama's speech in North Carolina, where he talked about the debate and said Hillary was "in her element." Now, the Republicans are sending around a blog item that speculates that Obama was giving Hillary the finger at one point.
We don't really see it. But here's a link to the blog. Below is a freeze frame of the moment. After the jump -- a re-post of the video. This may seem dumb, but stuff like this has the capacity to explode on the web. And, if its on the web, George Stephanopoulos and Charles Gibson may compile an ABC special on it.
Why do the Republicans care? Isn't it interesting that they would be trying to sow discord, openly?

Just to be clear:
We didn't do the item. The Los Angeles Times did the item. The Republican National Committee passed it along. Now, we're passing it along to people who read the blog, because that's what we do sometimes.
Barack was just showing that he is the NUMBER 1 choice for the Democratic nomination.
He raised two fingers to scratch his face as shown in this still from a camera recording the event from the right side.

It's completely clear that he staged this stunt by saying her name, raising his middle finger, scratched his face, paused for applause and continued on.
Any other read is wrong.
We can only HOPE so.
