Audio: Bill Clinton complains about race (Updated)

In the audio file below, Bill Clinton complains on Philadelphia radio that Obama's campaign "played the race card" on him after his Jesse Jackson remarks in South Carolina.

It's like negative campaigning -- everything the Clintons are accused of doing is actually being done to them: "I think that they played the race card on me. We now know, from memos from the campaign that they planned to do it along."

It is not known what memos he is referring to. No internal Obama memos have made any particular splash. Maybe he's referring to Clinton campaign memos. Maybe he made it up. Listen to the very end when, off air, he says, "I don't think I should take any shit from anybody on that, do you?"

Update: Today, asked about his comment by reporters, Bill not only doesn't come up with memos -- he claims he never said that Obama played the race card!

Update 2: Here's the memo Clinton is apparently referring to. It doesn't say what he said it says, but it's probably close enough to meet his standards for making the claim.
