The polling hours in the four states with primaries tonight are staggered, almost as if designed for continuous action on TV:
Vermont closes at 7 pm Eastern.
Ohio closes at 7:30 pm Eastern.
Rhode Island closes at 9 pm Eastern.
Texas polls close at 8 pm Eastern except for a small sliver of west Texas which is in the Mountain Time Zone and will close at 9 pm Eastern. All polls actually stay open until everyone in line at the scheduled closing gets to vote. Then, caucuses -- which will choose another passel of delegates -- begin 15 minutes after the polls close in each precinct.
