More Clinton Peyton Place gossip

peyton.jpg

Another in an apparently limitless stream of insider accounts from the Campaign that Can't Stop Talking About Its Endlessly Fascinating Neurotic Internal Feuds and Psychodramas, aka Hillary for President. This one is from the Washington Post.

It's Penn! No, it's Solis-Doyle! No, Ickes! No, Bill! He's out of control! Who can rein him in! Expletive, expletive, expletive! Caucuses are unfair! Highly stressed Type-A operatives getting mental! Faction this, clique that! Maggie is like Hillary's sister! Patti is like her daughter! Hillary people! Bill people! White boys! Rivalries! Shrewd! Narcissism unchained!

Here's one line: "But they essentially did not compete in smaller states holding caucuses. Clinton, feeling burned by Iowa, had become allergic to caucuses, deeming them unfair."

Good Lord. Who knows if it's true, but does telling that to a reporter help the candidate? The woman who casts herself as cool and collected enough to run the free world gets in such a little snit over the fact that Iowa rejected her that she makes the shortsighted decision to nearly destroy her campaign by refusing to compete in caucuses? That's ready to lead? And she's dimed out by some aide helping a reporter with a campaign gossip piece?

Dumb, dumb, dumb. If that's really what happened, it's kind of troubling. Why don't they all just shut up and run?

At a certain point, the fact that the Obama campaign doesn't seem so consumed by talking about itself almost becomes a reason to vote for him. Would this internal dishing go on for a full eight years in a Hillary administration?

If Hillary had gotten all the free positive media attention that Obama has received, she would not even need to raise any money. She has had the worst scrutiny of everything from how broad her behind is to rhyming with "bitch", according to Tim Russert and the "good ole boys"(snicker, snicker, gawf, gawf). Check out "Meet the Press", March 2, 2008. I have never heard one word about personality or looks about Obama. Hey, are you great big macho men afraid of her or Obama? Dishing? I certainly hope you don't keep it up for the next eight years. By the way, I wouldn"t be using that sexist slur too often, she can bite as well as fight.
