Meet "Kristen"
"Kristen," the call-girl who got Gov. Spitzer in so much trouble. is actually Ashley Alexandra Dupre, formerly Ashley Youmans. She gives a quick interview to the NYTimes here.

She's a singer. She comes from New Jersey, a broken home. Her mother: “She was a young kid with typical teenage rebellion issues, but we are extremely close now,”
Her mother also says: “She is a very bright girl who can handle someone like the governor. But she also is a 22-year-old, not a 32-year-old or a 42-year-old, and she obviously got involved in something much larger than her.”

Why is she the bad guy here?
Considering more than 50% of marriages end up in divorce the majority of children now come from "broken homes" I don't know why that needs to be part of the story. From her photos and the excerpts from her my-space page she seems bright, articulate and attractive.
Considering how the press is now camped out at her apartment and she is getting grief from all the holier than thou talking heads I hope she does sign a huge book deal and gets a huge advance.
After all she had sex with Elliot Spitzer.
I also wonder how many of us out there wish we could afford to aquire her services
