Two quotes seem to bracket the day's action on Hillary, Bosnia, and the sniper fire that wasn't.
Mostly, she tried to pass off her false claim as a simple mistake. Everybody makes mistakes, right? "I made a mistake. That happens. It proves I'm human, which you know, for some people, is a revelation.''
That should be effective, unless people become focused in the fact that she misspoke multiple times, embellishing a couple of different facts in a way that consistently made her seem more daring.
Less effective, this line reported by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: ''I was sleep-deprived, and I misspoke.''
Sleep deprived? Kind of a strange argument from someone who, a couple weeks ago, put up an ad that claimed that if the red phone rings in the White House at 3 am with a world-crisis, Hillary will be prepared.
Prepared, apparently, to yawn and misspeak.....

sleep deprived? If she can't handle a campaign how will she handle the rigors of being president if there's a world crisis? will a 3am phone call even wake her up?
If Senator Clinton lied repeatedly about her "experience" in Bosnia because she was sleep-deprived, how does that square with her assertion that she'll make the best decisions in a 3 am crisis phone call? Not well, I think.
This incident brings up very bad memories of the Clinton years in the White House, when the dignity and effectiveness of the presidency were trashed by Bill and Hillary's being caught again and again in bald faced lies.
Please, Americans, let's not enable another four years of that embarrassment.
