Nassau County Legis. Denise Ford of Long Beach is a registered Democrat who votes with the Republican minority -- except on Monday when the Republicans voted against a Democratic, female judicial nominee.
Ford was the only Republican to vote for Tricia Ferrell, a Democrat, for a District Court judgeship. Minutes later, she voted against Fred Hirsh, a Democrat, for another District Court judgeship.
Ford, who has voiced concerns in the past about pay inequity for women, made no public comment as the legislature approved both Ferrell and Hirsh to the $122,700-a-year posts.
She said later that a constituent in Long Beach, whom she declined to identify, had asked her to consider voting for Ferrell because of her qualifications, and that was her only reason for voting against her GOP colleagues.

Qualifications, the Nassau County Bar Association Judicial screening committee found her unqualified. Why was that, did anyone ask?
She appealed to the bar board, and they REVERSED, thats rights, reversed the screening committee.
Oh, and did anyone investigate who sits on the board, perhaps a partner to the Vice Chairman of the democratic party of Nassau.
Why the reversal........I think everyone knows why.
I only wish the reporters would look as to the connections.
Imagine if she was republican and this took place, they story would be quite different.
