Think it's been nasty? It could get nastier.
Last week, Hillary praised Obama's speech on Jeremiah Wright as a "good speech," and her campaign enforced a strict no-comment policy. Apparently, the speech was a little more successful than they wanted in quieting things down, because now Hillary has decided to rile things up.
In an interview in Pittsburgh today, she critiques Obama's choice of a pastor and a church:
"He would not have been my pastor. You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend."
And, she also denounces "hate speech" in words that suggest she thinks Obama didn't do enough and should have left the church:
"You know, I spoke out against Don Imus, saying that hate speech was unacceptable in any setting, and I believe that I just think you have to speak out against that. You certainly have to do that, if not explicitly, then implicitly by getting up and moving."
That's one way to get her false statements about Bosnia out of the headlines. Anything goes.
