The race has clearly been tightening, but here's the first poll we've seen showing Obama in the lead nationally: CNN/Opinion Research shows him ahead 49-46. McCain owns a solid 44-29 edge over Romney. The margin of error is 4.5 +/-, so technically it's a tie.
And here's a chart from pollster.com that shows momentum in the Democraticrace. The darker the dots, the more recent the polls. Left of center is an Obama lead, right of center a Clinton lead, the further the left or right the larger the lead.
You can see the recent movement toward Obama, on the left, but on balance Clinton holds an edge in more states:

Who can really read this chart? It's like an ink blot test...I see two donkeys arguing with each other doc!
Here is something odd about the polling.
Obama and Clinton are tied in a new CBS News poll, 41%-41%, though Clinton leads 49%-31% among those who live in Feb. 5 states.
So Obama is close nationally but that includes states that do not vote tomorrow. You look at these states only Hillary is up by 18%.
I believe the poll is a Clinton minus Obama, with 0 in the middle. It ranges from the most Clinton state - MA to the most Obama state - IL.
