Bill: Misinformation on Texas?

bill225

Texas' Democratic Party next Tuesday has a primary during the day, and then caucuses at night that are open only to those who have voted in the primary. Some delegates are selected from each process.

The Clinton campaign, as it has ever since losing the Iowa caucuses, is casting aspersions on caucuses as somehow anti-democratic. Bill Clinton, on Saturday:

"If you vote early or you vote on March the 4th in the popular election, 65 percent of the delegates will be selected to the national convention. But 35 percent of the delegates for the national convention will be selected Tuesday night... The doors open at 7 and they close at 7:15. It would be tragic if Hillary were to win this election in the daytime and somebody were to come in at night and take it away."

And it would be even more tragic if a voter listened to Clinton and decided not to come because he or she couldn't make it by 7:15. Because the ex-president is wrong. The doors don't close at 7:15. They open at 7:15, according to the Texas Democratic Party.

Maybe it's a commentary on the Clinton campaign's current state of readiness in the Lone Star State. It would be nice if they could give their voters the right time to show up. A ">new CNN poll shows Obama taking the lead there, 50-46.
