Travels with Charlie

The quotable, powerful dean of the New York congressional delegation, Charlie Rangel, was in South Carolina stumping for Hillary Clinton today and boy was he missing Harlem.

Asked if he was alarmed by a poll showing Barack Obama winning only ten percent of the white Democratic vote, Rangel shot back in an affably combative way: "I'm not a South Carolinian --I don’t know if the goddam Civil War is over here or not—what are you asking me? I'm not a historian."

Nor was he too impressed with recent migration of New York retirees to the state.

"Boy, you should appreciate New York," he told a reporter in a chilly parking lot at Benedict College. "You take New York for granted, you know, elevators don’t work, people don’t show up on time, there are no schedules, you don't know where you are going next, hey, it's your life —hey, that’s New York. New Yorkers, old timers, are leaving to relax down here – if I retired down here I would lose my goddamn mind!"

Please, its been over 200 years since slavery and Rangel, the Clinton's white man, is still acting as if the South is a dangerous place. Go home Charlie. it peop[le like you that will never admit that that their is more racism in New York, than it is in the South. NY state assembly is the worst, your taxes are the highest, his people are being evicted in records numbers so developers can enter and pretty soon there will be no blacks on 125 Street except Charlie and his half brother Bill. The schools are delporable, yet both Hillary and Rangel act as if all is well in gotham. Give me a break. All anyone has to do is look at NY's record and wonder, what the Clinton and their water boy has accomplished. Its time for a change and these ole has beens can retire with our blessings. Bill is aging by the day and Hillary winkles are showing.

As for whether or not Hillary and Bill should be given the whitehouse again so Charlie, Bob Johnson and I know why the cage bird lady sings, can party in the Lincoln bedroom, let the nation pass. They stressed us out. By the way, when will ole Charlie admit that he was one that push the crime bill that Hillary's husband Bill put through in 1994 that is responsible for the incarceration of black men and women in record numbers. Sent them back to the past with a blast!!!!!!
