PETERBOROUGH, N.H. -- With about 66 hours left before New Hampshire polls open, here's where Rudy Giuliani's campaign stands compared to John McCain's.
The former New York City mayor today addressed for 10 minutes a robotics convention in Manchester and spoke for a half-hour with about 100 people who squeezed into a house party in Litchfield. The Arizona senator forced the fire chief here to stop letting townsfolk (and media people) into the town hall because the crowd of 1,100 exceeded the safety capacity.
Luckily for those who wanted to watch -- and reporters who arrived late -- a C-Span truck parked outside the town hall broadcast the McCain event live outside. And about another 150 people milled about in the cold watching.
McCain, who is being targeted in negative television ads aired by Mitt Romney, didn't strike back during his hour-long town-hall-style meeting here, but the two candidates are expected to open fire on each other during tonight's televised GOP debate.
