The longer it goes on, the more Hillary sounds like Rudy, playing the fear card. Today, according to the Boston Globe, she pointed out that there was an attempted double-bombing in the UK the day Gordon Brown took office as PM:

“I don’t think it was by accident that Al Qaeda decided to test the new prime minister. They watch our elections as closely as we do, maybe more closely than some of our fellows citizens do…. Let’s not forget you’re hiring a president not just to do what a candidate says during the election, you want a president to be there when the chips are down.”

She also compared herself to Margaret Thacher today! But where is this coming from? Of all the vast array of things the Clinton campaign has claimed, does she have any particular credentials as a terror fighter? Crisis manager? Or.... any special background on the issue?

As we once noted in this space, she barely gets a mention in the memoirs of Clinton administration terror expert Richard Clarke. This seems to be a legend-in-her-own-mind thing. On the same day she went a little teary?
