Edwards: A bid to trump Florida?

edwards130.jpeg

After all the effort the Clinton campaign put into making people pay attention to Florida, despite the fact that no one campaigned and no delegates were chosen, it didn't get a big pop.

The networks we were watching reported on Hillary but also expressed some skepticism and switched over fairly quickly to GOP coverage once returns started coming, with Rudy and Mitt and McCain dominating the rest of the evening. Plus, we haven't seen a paper yet with Hillary's win on the front page.

And now: Edwards makes his announcement in the morning, obliterating pretty much any vestigial trace of Hillary/Florida coverage.

There's some talk going around on the blogs that maybe it was planned that way. And if Edwards endorses Obama in the next few days, that calculus will get pretty compelling.
