Video: Adams' "show me the money" speech

Dan wrote an item yesterday about Democratic State Sen. Eric Adams' curiously passionate speech about how he deserves a pay raise, and suggested that it might convert into a good campaign ad for the Republicans trying to hold on to their majority this fall.

Here's the video (via Daily Politics):

Eric Adams says he would qualify for welfare in some downstate areas on his 79,500 dollar salary for a part time job. While the court employees are without a contract for the past year, the judges saleries which have not increased in fifteen years have to be settled before the state takes care of the little guy. As a court employee maxed out at 59,300 I can see how you really must be struggling to make ends meet. Please hook me up with the welfare provider so I can start receiving benefits. Maybe then I can quit my other two jobs and see my family while being able to make ends meet here on the Island!

Adams is already getting an NYPD pension of around 80K a year. Who the hell is he kidding? This nonsense from a guy who represents a poverty stricken district. Gotta love the Dems!
