We posted an item earlier about a new, heavy-on-terrorism Giuliani ad. Coincidentally, the Observer now has a piece up about Rudy supporters (actually, only two of them) in places like Michigan and New Hampshire expressing concern that he hasn't really answered the security-for-Judith questions that were raised last week.
The response, from a still confident South Carolina backer named Barry Wynn, is that Rudy's only problem is that there hasn't been enough terrorism in the news lately: “That is the key question that galvanizes a whole lot of support. When that nerve is hit, people do not worry about divorces; they do not worry about perfection. People worry about the survival of the country.”
Which is what the new ad is all about.
