The game-playing in the aftermath of Hillary's apology for Bill Shaheen's "electability" drug smear against Obama is getting pretty esoteric. You'd think she would want to put it 1000 miles behind her, but...
On TV this morning, she emphasized that she was the most electable Democrat because there would be no "surprises" that hadn't been vetted. At a press conference, she was asked if the reference was directed at Obama. According to this account on The Stump:
" 'I am only talking about myself,' she insisted, looking unusually resplendent in a dark suit with a red blouse and multicolored necklace. Nor would she bite when asked by MSNBC's David Shuster whether she would flatly declare that 'a candidate's indiscretions as a teenager should not be an issue for voters.' After what I sensed was a moment of uncertainty she concluded, 'It's certainly not an issue in my campaign.' "
What? Shouldn't the answer be something more declarative? Like: "They should not." Strange.
Update: Here's the video, (via TPM). Judge for yourself:

Hillary Soprano had a big lead
Hillary Soprano had a great fall
All of Penns polls, and all of Hsu money
Could not put Hillary Soprano back into the lead again.
IN THE END THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE WHO WAS PRESIDENT NOT TWO
ITS BILL STUPID. NOT HILLARY SOPRANO
