Seemed like Hillary Clinton did fine yesterday, nothing great, nothing awful, what anyone else would have done. But no. It seems that some people have been making the case that she somehow showed her presidential chops during the hostage crisis.
By holing up with Secret Service protection while it was going on? By constantly bugging the NH police for information, as she later acknowledged? By not interfering? By holding two press conferences (one for Washington cameras, one for NH primary cameras) after it was over to tell everyone how relieved she was (but not to try to milk it for political benefit because she would never do that)? By having a staffer who was able to get the NH police to line up behind her at her second presser?
Never mind. here's one piece, "Clinton seizes opportunity after crisis." Here's an AP story about how a "regal looking" Hillary was the "picture of calm in the face of crisis" when she strolled out of her house... after the crisis was over.
