Earlier in the day, Mike Huckabee said he was sorry to Mitt Romney for idly wondering (in the presence of a NYT Magazine reporter) about whether Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers.
And tonight, Bill Shaheen -- a lawyer, Hillary's NH co-chair, and the husband of former NH Gov. Jeanne Shaheen -- says he's now sorry for musing to a Washington Post reporter about what a liability Obama's admissions of youthful drug experimentation might be in the hands of the Republicans.
"I deeply regret the comments I made today and they were not authorized by the campaign in any way," he said in a statement sent out by the campaign, which had previously distanced itself from Shaheen's comments.
One wasn't meant, one wasn't authorized, we're told. But, you know, both things kind of sit there, don't they?
