Two new developments on the Clinton campaign planting a question on global warming with a Grinnell College student at a rally in Newton, IA, last weekend.
CNN has an interview with the student, sophomore Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff. Story is here.Among other things, she says the question was one on a list of pre-planned questions Clinton aides had in a notebook. She says she was told not to ask a question about candidates' energy plans because Clinton might not be prepared to answer.
She identified another person who, she thought, asked a planted question about a plant closing in Newton. Also: She said a Clinton campaign intern asked her not to speak to media outlets about the episonde. And, she doesn't seem to buy Clinton's claim that she didn't know about plants and picked on Gallo-Chasanoff at random:
"When I asked him how it worked, he said raise your hand when she asks for questions, raise your hand and she'll call on you. So, I mean, I don't know for sure that she knew in advance but there were like 200 people there and everyone was raising their hand. I was 1 out of 4. That doesn't seem random exactly."
Here's the interview:
After the jump: A transcript, and a video from last week of Gallo-Chasanoff asking the question and Hillary answering.
Muriel Gallo Chasanoff on CNN:
"On the way over there in the car they asked me if I would ask the Senator a question. I said, sure, you know I'd love to ask her a question. And when we got there we were there a little bit early. They brought me to one of the senior staffers and he asked me if there was any question I wanted to ask. And I kind of thought about it and I said yeah, can I ask how her energy plan compares to the other candidates' energy plans? He said well, I don't think that's a good idea, because I don't know how familiar she is with their plans. And then he showed me in his binder, he had a piece of paper that had typed out quesitons on it and the top on it was planned specifically for a college student. It said like 'college student.'

Let me see if I get this right....
The US Dollar is tanking fast.
The Iraq War is a bigger and bigger quagmire every day.
Pakistan (a nuclear power) is falling apart.
China made toys are toxic and dangerous with weekly recalls leading up to toy season (christmas.)
And THIS story is still getting attention??
This isn't FEMA faking an entire press conference.
Time to move in and deal with the real issues.
Is the media so hard up for copy that they are keeping this story going. Every election has people in the audience with questions so that most points are covered. Grow up voters, grow up media do you think your readers are fools ?
The one thing to me about this exchange is Hillary does not make any attempt to answer the young lady's question. None at all. Why would she plant such a question and then not have a ready answer? This woman can NOT lead a country.
John Rennhack worries about 'This story is still getting the attention'? Hell, yes, Hillary can no more lead the USA than I can. Another example of her lying to us.
She has no experience at all......this story gives insight to the person that Hillary is or isn't...America deserves much, much better than her....
