Suffolk Assemb. Boyle's wife bolts the GOP
Assemb. Philip Boyle is a true-blue Republican, but his wife Victoria has broadened the family’s political base by enrolling as an Independence Party member.
Victoria Ryan Boyle actually enrolled last year in the minor party, but the change of enrollment did not officially take effect until after Election Day this year.
“She was pretty hardcore,” said Boyle of his wife’s GOP roots. “But I think she has become a little disillusioned with both major political parties.”
