A new Siena poll is out with more grim news for Gov. Spitzer and his licensing plan for undocumented immigrants:
Seven in ten oppose first plan, two-thirds oppose new plan. Even Dems are against it, 55-36. Favorability rating is 41 percent favorable to 46 percent unfavorable, down from 54-36 just a month ago. When asked if they wanted Spitzer in 2010 or "someone else," voters chose someone else by a 2-1 margin.
Poll spokesman Steve Greenberg: "Eliot Spitzer’s standing with voters has fallen faster and further than any politician in recent New York history. Everything may not have changed on day one but from the voters’ perspective, everything about Governor Spitzer changed in year one."
