Hillary tunes out of "Today" appearance?
It looks like Hillary Clinton is backing out of a sit-down on NBC's "Today" this week, according to sources (not with the Clinton campaign) who claim knowledge.
UPDATE: A Clinton aide tells Newsday the campaign discussed appearing on the show, seriously considered doing so, but never officially "confirmed" she'd appear.
.
UPDATE TWO: A "Today" spokeswoman clarifies a bit, writing, "She will not be on our show tomorrow. And, fyi, the interview was never officially locked in."

Why should she even bother going? It is MSNBC who targeted her and allowed Edwards-Obama to respond to what she said, rather than presenting their own views on Iraq, Iran, Social Security and Driver Licenses for Illegals.
Go on GMA. Today is full of egocentric people like Matt Laeur.
Absolutely right on American for Peace.
Finally someone who makes sense.

Looks like Hillary is beginning to run scared. I'm still leaning towards voting for her, but I've got to admit that Barack Obama has been making a lot of sense recently. At least he doesn't flip flop like Hillary does.

Thank goodness she (Hillary) has at last shown both sides of her face, so to speak. She went "listening" through Iowa recently and chatted up a single mother/two job holder/waitress--her target demographic--wooing and sympathetic--and then left her NO TIP. As someone who used to survive on tips, this is the supreme insult...and for someone "interviewing" to be President, this speaks volumes. My level of disgust for this candidate has been raised, and I did not think it was possible.
Hillary Clinton's 2 senatorial campaigns, went virtually unchallenged, she was up against 2 different republican men, that were very weak candidates., and had a snow ball chance in hell winning in the very liberal state of NYC. So she thinks running for the POTUS was going to be as easy?? It won't. She's playing with the big boys now on the NATIONAL/World stage.
What she doesn't realize is this is NOT the 90's anymore, where her husband enjoyed the only MEDIA that courted them... The big 3, ABC, NBC and CBS. CNN was young then, and they also lean to the left. As was the internet.
Well its the new millenium.... with the various internet web sites and cable channels and she can't control along with her liberal media friends, on what is getting reported on.
No, Hillary, you're not in Arkansas, or even NYC anymore. Time to grow a spine, or borrow the "pair" from your husband, that is IF he isn't using them by assaulting other women. And stop with "they are picking on me because I am a woman", card every time something gets a bit tough for you.
I just sent in my donation to the Republican National Fund, and I will be sending money each month to make sure this woman ,and her philandering husband, does NOT disgrace the oval office again!
DonnaInMichigan:
with your mega-RNC funds you just sent in -will they be going to any of the mega-married, divorced, values-challenged RNC candidates? I think Hilary, Obama and Edwards have had one marriage. Or maybe you also think Mormonism is a cult? At least Hilary had the right to stay and save her marriage. Isn't that what the Catholic and most churches preach? I am so sick of Republican judgement of others.....it is so nauseating........
Hillary constantly alludes to her experience. We knew she was influential; now she has 'slipped' and publicly stated just what her job was. (This should be 'big news!)
As to 'yes/no' questions and the challenges of such; I guess this explains why Hillary could never answer the quesstion of 'who hired Craig Livingston(?)'; much less ever offer that simple 'yes' - that it was she.
And there were certainly no short answers from Hillary as to where those incriminating billing records were - for years - save a NO comment.
We can surmise as well; given Hillary's experience; just who made the phone call to Sandy Burglar - now back on staff with Hillary - requesting that special inside - 'stuff inside' that is. ..the pants/socks job.
Meantime, despite the difficulties of nuanced decision making 'we' are left to vote - YES or NO. . .and for Hillary; I vote NO. . .NO WAY.
