In this interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, Sen. Clinton says that she's a big fan of Oprah, too -- even though the TV personality is endorsing Obama.
“I am a great admirer of Oprah. I mean, she is a great figure in America and I think of her campaigning is certainly her personal decision....But people are going to decide based on the candidates, about our experience and our qualifications, our plans for the future and whether, you know, we actually can bring about the change that we are advocating."
And since celebrity endorsements don't matter, that explains why her campaign unveiled the endorsement yesterday from someone named Barbra Streisand, that noted presidential historian and expert on the experience and qualifications of past chief executives.

I have a tremendous love and respect for Oprah and much admiration for Barack.
I fully understand why Oprah is supporting "Senator Obama, after all he is her representative in the Senate and of course, a Chicago favorite son". Doing less since she decides to join the ranks of a "kingmaker" would not play well with whole lot of people. This is a smart move.
I must at the same time, admit that I am fascinated by the possibility of seeing a woman emerge as president. In my college days as a poli science major such a possibility never seemed possible. Wow, now it could happen in my life time.
I am sure Oprah loves Hillary and supports what she is trying to do, but does want to give her Senator needed support. With husband Bill and other "big guns' from the Democratic machine, I am sure Hillary will have enough "heavy hitters" on the stump with her. As it it, this is horse-- race and real exciting one. So may the best "horse win!!

I agree with Verna -- may the best horse win. As a former supporter of Hillary who's now strongly backing Barack, I obviously think Barack is the best horse. By the way, the latest national Zogby poll shows Hillary LOSING to the top 5 Republican Presidential candidates, while showing Barack BEATING all 5 Republicans. That makes Barack the more electable candidate!
