When Rudy Giuliani’s pal Bernard Kerik was nominated for homeland-security secretary by President George W. Bush, Sen. Hillary Clinton said: “Bernard Kerik knows firsthand the challenges and needs of New York and other high-threat areas. As a member of the president's cabinet, he can make that case every single day.”
That was three years ago, before the Kerik nomination imploded. Now, instead of Kerik "making the case" to Bush, the Bush administration is making a case against him.
